Thursday 16th June - Orbit Taproom

Nico Night!

Nico Bottle

Experience an authentic Cologne drinking experience in London and enjoy Kölsch the way it was intended.
Following on from the roaring success of our first Nico Night in October 2021, we're hosting another one on 16th June! A traditional Cologne drinking experience (the home of Kölsch) at Orbit Beers Taproom.

We're celebrating our award-winning Köln Lager - Nico. If you joined us for our last Nico Night, you'll know how much fun it is and that's why we're doing it all again on Thursday 16th June. Expect Nico Stanges, German food specials, Nico from the barrel, and a great night out.

If you've ever been to Cologne, you'll have noticed that their drinking culture is wildly different to ours, instead of going up to the bar to order, the waiters, called Köbes will bring over trays laden with tall thin glasses called stanges, containing 200ml of freshly poured kölsch.

When the beers have been served, the köbe will mark your beer mat (pictured below) to keep track of how many you've had. When your beer is nearly empty the köbe will bring another stange, and another, until you place a beer mat atop your glass, signalling you've had your fill.

We're going to try and replicate the Cologne/Kölsch experience at Orbit Taproom, pouring our freshest batch of Nico on the night. So, get a bunch of friends together and come on down to our taproom for something a bit different!

Tickets £8.50 via Eventbrite - Book Here

Sundays - Orbit Taproom

Pub Quiz & Sunday Roasts

Roast Dinner

Every Sunday at the taproom you can take part in our Pub Quiz from 6pm for the chance to win a £60 bar tab. Our resident chef @lightninhotthings will be there cooking some of the best roast dinners south of the river. So be sure to get a table booked in for both!

“I am astounded at not only the quality but also how delicious the Sunday Lunch we had here today was. Huge compliments to the chef. The flavours were impeccable, nothing can be faulted, everything cooked to perfection. I can’t believe what I just ate! I didn’t want the eating session to end. Highly recommend!”

Josh's Leaving Do

Josh

If you've visited the taproom before, you'll know our taproom manager Josh! You might have also heard that sadly he is leaving Orbit to move back to Australia. We're heartbroken but we're giving him a big send-off on 24th June, and he would love to see you all there and enjoy a beer with you on the other side of the bar.
